Travel Italy: Camping Fusina, Venice






Mini-break to Venice, Italy. Accommodation: Looking for somewhere to stay on a budget in Venice? How about Camping Fusina, on the shores of the lagoon, not far from Venice main islands? Camping Fusina is recommended if saving money is your object. Rent a campsite cabin upwards of Euro 20 per night (special deal on internet). That means just Euro 10 if 2 of you are sharing one cabin. Bargain! The campsite has full facilities, although on-site supermarket is basic to a degree. Restaurant is reasonably priced. There school groups who frequently check in, so can be a bit rowdy at night with super loud music in bar playing until 2am, but such groups are generally segregated into their own sector on the campsite, so not a big problem. Cabins likewise have noisy doors, but not too bad provided you don't have neighbors coming in and out of adjacent cabins every five minutes. There are different cabin options - some ensuite. If you don't have ensuite, the toilet and washroom blocks are spacious and clean with plenty of privacy. Just bring some shower shoes! Has bus and boat links to Venice, although only run once an hour until around midnight, and boat not covered by Venice travel pass. There are a few spots where you can sit out on grass of campsite, but otherwise, you probably don't want to spend much time there.
